DoLittle’s
was originally opened by Donielle Cardinale McKinnon and her husband James
in 1997. After the McKinnon's started a family and moved on to other business
ventures, David and Sharon Sailor, took over the business in 2003. This
father/daughter team was ready for an adventure.
Six years ago the face of DoLittle’s changed; part of the lounge
area was closed and became the nail salon. There have been many faces
to DoLittle’s over its twelve year life, but the great food and
friendly service has only improved with time.
David and/or Sharon are always on premise along with a host of friendly
and accommodating staff. Sharon’s son, Paul Drum, who despite his
Down’s Syndrome is the restaurant’s door man. We like to think
of him as the spirit of DoLittle’s and the Mayor of Mattituck. Lisa
Sailor, when not in school or traveling makes guest debuts. The staff
is very close knit and more like a family than co-workers. That is the
same feel that DoLittle’s has about its customers. We know most
people by name and the nuances about their particular situations. We feel
that making people feel special, next to great food should be and is our
main objective.
DoLittle’s has booths in it’s lounge area, which has a ten
foot big screen to watch your favorite sporting events. We also have a
separate dining room if you are looking for a little different atmosphere.
Do not let the fact that DoLittle’s is located in the Plaza fool
you, it is very deceiving. We have a loyal
customer base and we are looking to make that number grow every day.
DoLittle’s… A North Fork Tradition!
